Scent
Aromatic notes of red fruit syrup, roasted fruits, spices.
Flavor
Robust, with well-processed tannins. The finish offers a long aftertaste of roasted fruits.
Vinification
After delivery, the grapes are pressed. Fermentation extraction takes place at low temperatures for about 3 days and they remain in the tank until depletion of sugars. The fresh wine is then brought down to the cellar for malolactic fermentation and maturation in French and American oak barrels. It stays there for around 18 months. It is then bottled and remains in bottles for at least 12 months.

Semeli Nemea Reserve is produced from Greece's most noble red grape variety, Agiorgitiko, in Semeli's hillside vineyards in Nemea. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Bright, youthful, deep red color with remarkable viscosity. Intense on the nose, young, deep in aromas of dense spices, complex fruit and balanced oak. Full-bodied and smooth in the mouth, well-balanced with a long finish.
Serve with red meat, barbecue, pasta with red sauce and a selection of cheeses.
Enjoy at 15-16°C.

Inspired by the glorious sun rising over the mountains surrounding the iconic Semeli Estate vineyard, Semeli Oreinos Helios (=mountain sun) is a delicious blend of two fine varieties from Peloponnesian vineyards: the popular and versatile Agiorgitiko with plum and cherry aromas and the noble Syrah with its intense, spicy and blackberry character.
Light, youthful, dark ruby red color. Intense on the nose, with ripe fruit, plums and cherries, chocolate and some spicy undertones. The palate is broad, with good body, medium but velvety tannins, moderate acidity and vibrant red fruit flavors.
Serve with Mediterranean cuisine, red meat dishes, grilled dishes, pasta with red sauce and a selection of cheeses.
Enjoy at 14-15°C.

Semeli Spondee red wine is the latest addition to the Semeli Estate winery's line-up. It is a blend of Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from selected vineyards, aged for 12 months in the winery's cool cellar.
Elegant and complex on the nose, with the aromas from all three flavors expressed in a firm and perfectly balanced way, without any one of them overshadowing the rest.
The expectations on the palate, raised by the complex, balanced and elegant nose, are fully realized as the distinctive varietal characteristics gradually unfold. Generous and spicy, with round, rather soft tannins, well balanced by alcohol, this wine gives a full mouthfeel to the palate.
Excellent with classic or traditional Greek dishes, including braised meat in fresh tomato sauce, moussaka and pastitsio. Also goes well with creative Greek and Italian dishes.
Best served at 16°C in a large wine glass. Decanting is a must to get the most out of the wine's bouquet.
